Tales of Vesperia Famitsu Scan

FamitsuScan001.jpg

Unleashed today on the internet was a full 2 page spread for Tales of Vesperia by the famous Japanese magazine, Famistu. Of course I can’t actually read anything here but still it’s always nice to get a a few more screenshots out of the deal. Some articles worth noting:

  • It does appear that the game will have a world map to explore and travel on.
  • The camera appears to be in a fixed location for towns.
  • Bubble chats appear to be making a comeback. Always a nice addition if you ask me.

Not much more to say about it, but that we are looking forward to seeing much more about this supposed Xbox 360 exclusive title, although PS3 owners probably shouldn’t be too worried as all signs are pointing towards a multiplatform release. Expect this game to land in Japan by the end of the year, localization is expect for sometime in 2009.

  1. They should port it to the Wii instead the graphics are nothing that couldn’t be done in there (not to mention even then, PS3 would still be a better choice than X360) X360 is probably the most ridiculous decision for such title. it screams moneyhatting when they should have to moneyhat even a port.

When other consoles such as Wii are getting tales games consisting of re-used assets instead of a proper new game, giving this to a console that doesn’t even sell in japan, nor had tales or RPG tradition before… it’s just stupid.

  2. The graphics for this game couldn’t be handled by the Wii in this life or any other. And I know this is a post from a bit back, so I won’t rag on you about thinking the 360 is not qualified to be an RPG console.

However, as you can see today, its not only qualified, as it has such titles as Star Ocean, ast Remnant, and even FFXIII, but it IS the RPG gamers console of choice.

PS PS3 is quite possibly theworst possible choice for an RPG. WhyTF did you ven say tat?
