My Perfect PSP; PhotoShopped
Following in the footsteps of its’ older brother, the PS2, the PSP has been growing a larger RPG base. Great for the PSP, bad for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my PSP. Its a powerful little system that does a lot which has me thoroughly impressed. However, I am pained to say that there is one small design flaw that just kills my hand. The location of the joystick.
Anybody who is older than 12 can probably attest to the same pain. Sony, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to place the joystick, which by my account is used far more than the d-pad, near the bottom of the portable machine. It may not seem like much of a difference but when you have to squash your thumb down just to use the damn thing you are asking for trouble. With Crisis Core being released next week I fear not only for my thumb’s safety but also for my will; can I honestly go through another RPG in that uncomfortable manner?
I’m not asking for a total redesign of the system. Truth be told, I, generally, think the system is great the way it is. The screen is nice and large, all the buttons work fairly well, and it is one sexy machine. However, I would very much like to have a slight redesign of the d-pad/joystick. I even photoshopped it up (above) so Sony wouldn’t have to. It’s practically a done deal! *sigh* So please, Sony, redesign the PSP in a more comfortable manner. I beg you!
